Job Description
Our client is one of the worlds leading marine electronics and navigation equipment manufacturers. They are now recruiting for an experienced and customer focused manager with experience within after sales and support to run and expand their current support department.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Drive overall Marine OEM strategy in EMEA to support upcoming Marine OEM Business.
- Work closely with all territories in the EMEA and Marine Sales team to identify needs and ensure appropriate resources, skills and procedures are in place to support Marine OEM business.
- Ensure all territories provide uniform and seamless support across all territories in line with customer and OEM expectations.
- Ensure effective handover of technical OEM knowledge to general Marine Support teams to ensure class-leading support once the boat is delivered to the end customer.
- Manage UK Marine Support team.
- Manage overall training needs and ensure all Marine Support teams across the EMEA (offices and dealers / distributors) provide a uniform high-level of support.
- Provide, effectively communicate and implement OEM support vision across all EMEA territories.

Technical Requirements
- Project Management qualification.
- Marine technical / electronic qualification or equivalent experience.
Education and experience
- Experienced support specialist with strong Marine technical breakdown with experience of managing support needs for large OEMs and boat-builders.
- Must be a recognised and well-respected technical expert within the Marine industry, in order to build OEM confidence in our support network in the EMEA territories.

Manager, Corporate Communications
Job Description
Reporting to the Vice President, Marketing & Business Development, the Manager, Corporate Communications develops and executes marketing and communications programs in support of the Port’s public relations and business development objectives.
MAJOR POSITION ACOUNTABILITIES
1. Manages the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Port’s communications plan, including the development of performance measures to track the success of communications activities.
2. Produces Port collateral materials, including annual reports, brochures, publications, website, presentations and audio/visual productions targeting existing and potential Port customers, the business community, the public sector, and the general public.
3. Coordinates media relations activities, including the development of media relations tools. Coordinates press releases, announcements, presentations, newspapers and magazine articles. Establishes and maintains effective relations with the electronic and print media, and facilitates media contact with appropriate Port representative in support of the successful fulfilment of the Port’s various strategies.
4. Manages and coordinates advertising and promotions planning and activities, including the development of advertising and promotions materials and the coordination of effective electronic and print media campaigns, and other related promotional activities independently or in collaboration with consultants.
5. Develops and implements the Port’s internal communications plans in collaboration with the Director, Human Resources and Port executive to keep Port staff apprised of the Port activities, developments, and news.
6. Maintains up-to-date documentation on the Port. Responds to requests for information from Port partners and stakeholders.
7. Maintains a broad range of contacts with communications peers in the federal, provincial, regional and municipal governments to support Port government relations activities.
8. Represents the Port at various meetings, conferences, seminars and other functions as prioritized, in consultation with the Vice President, Marketing & Business Development, and provides Port management with a record of the proceedings.
9. Performs other duties as assigned by the Vice President, Marketing & Business Development or President & Chief Executive Officer.

Monitoring of the general accounting and internal reporting at Corporate-owned ports
* Monitoring compliance with local tax filings and other regulatory matters at Corporate-owned ports
* Review of Corporate port invoices for compliance with underlying terms prior to approval by the corresponding Port Director
* Conduct a monthly analysis of payments made by Miami Headquarters,, prepare journal entry and inter company invoice for reimbursement

* Strong accounting background with at least 1 year at a Big 4 or other large public accounting firm preferred
* Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Accountant or similar certification preferred
* Bilingual (English/Spanish)
* Direct experience with a large international corporation with operations in the Caribbean helpful
* Superior technical accounting and reporting skills
* Possess strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
* Previous experience with Oracle Financial Systems, Hyperion Essbase as well as any other PC-based software is helpful
* Must have a global perspective and be willing to travel to various ports (up to 20% of year)

Summary:
We are looking for a well organized and self motivated Supervisor to lead the Revenue Accounting Department. This individual is a leader and team player, a self starter with the ability to multi-task and to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment. This individual will work with Senior Management to provide accurate and timely financial information as well as working with various Operations Departments to ensure we provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing the day to day operations of the Department. Act as point person for all unusual and emergency requests.
- Manage the Revenue Accounting month-end close process.
- Perform and review monthly actual to budget and prior year’s variance analysis.
- Act as a liaison between the General Accounting, Reservations and other Operations Departments within the Company.
- Review reconciliations and roll-forwards of critical accounts.
- Support Senior Management with special projects such as the implementation and changes to existing financial and operational systems.
- Support Senior Management in implementing internal control procedures including compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
- CPA a plus. MBA, a plus.
- Experience: A minimum of 6 + years of experience. Combined experience of public accounting and private sector, a plus. Experience in cruise line industry, a plus. Customer relations and operational accounting experience, a plus.
- Systems Background: Proficient in Word and Microsoft Excel. Experience with Great Plains and reservations systems (NVS), a plus.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, (verbal and written), strong organizational and analytical skills. Attention to detail is essential.
- Willing to work long hours under pressure and meet tight time deadlines.
