Key duties and responsibilities
  • Drive overall Marine OEM strategy in EMEA to support upcoming Marine OEM Business.

POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Vice President, Marketing & Business Development, the Manager, Corporate Communications develops and executes marketing and communications programs in support of the Port’s public relations and business development objectives. 

MAJOR POSITION ACOUNTABILITIES

6. Maintains up-to-date documentation on the Port. Responds to requests for information from Port partners and stakeholders.

7. Maintains a broad range of contacts with communications peers in the federal, provincial, regional and municipal governments to support Port government relations activities. 

8. Represents the Port at various meetings, conferences, seminars and other functions as prioritized, in consultation with the Vice President, Marketing & Business Development, and provides Port management with a record of the proceedings.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    - Systems Background: Proficient in Word and Microsoft Excel. Experience with Great Plains and reservations systems (NVS), a plus.
    - Skills: Strong communication skills, (verbal and written), strong organizational and analytical skills. Attention to detail is essential.
    - Willing to work long hours under pressure and meet tight time deadlines.
