  I was responsible for all English speaking Guests onboard an Italian Cruise Liner. My work included taking care of all Guests requests, problems and general enquiries. I also prepared and presented conferences about our cruise liners, the company itself, the ports of call that we visited during the particular itineraries that each ship follows; giving the historical and general information and facts about the countries visited, plus any other particulars that the Guests may have an interest in. I also organized tours of the ship where I had to provide technical information for the Guests, whether it be the Bridge, the Galley or the public lounges (i.e. the décor/reasons for particular themes in the lounges). I also booked and accompanied all Guests on their shore excursions in order to make sure that they are satisfied with their guide and their tour in general (similar to that of a Tour Escort). If the guest is not satisfied, I had to solve these problems on behalf of the company whilst I am off the ship. Part of my work was also that of a social Hostess, where I had to visit and socialize with the Guests during the evening, whether that be in the restaurant, in the bars or at the various cocktails held onboard; in order to make sure that their full satisfaction is being met with their meals, entertainment from our onboard shows and artists (basically discretely discovering if they find that the company product in general is meeting their expectations). I also had an office onboard as my work required so many “office hours”; i.e., weekly/cruise reports and communication with all other departments onboard and external in order to meet with the requirements and acquire product satisfaction for the Guests during their cruise. Therefore my work was extremely various in many different areas of importance.
